Crash
My friend had and accident, he had a dodge Dakota r/t he turned in a corner going home and the road was wet from a sprinkler system, so the truck spun and hit a light pole, it ripped the truck in two. Witnesses said that he took that corner about 35 mph, (fast for a corner) but still ripped the car off. is not all about speed, the weight form the car and where the car hit the pole, remember that it was split on half, (almost in the rear seat) you have the engine in the front and the rear axle in the rear, those things weight more than whatever you have in the car. imagine having a toot-pick center against your finger and put some pressure in the extremes the toot pick is going to break in half, that's what cops told my friend's family after his accident when they asked why the car ripped on half?
so after these facts I believe and I am with 03mustgt that you don’t need to go 100mph to rip the car in half, also I been reading some of the posts about the accident on the boards xxkazp3rxx posted, and they said that the guy in the cobra had DR on all the time, so if it was wet and at 40mph, when the Camaro hit him. The cobra lost control, spun and hit that concrete pole really hard.
I had and accident in the rain when I had an eclipse gst spyder, I hit a pedestrian (not my fault) I was doing 30 still she went trough my windshield and f-ed up my top believe me 30mph is fast. When you get use to speed it seems like is not that fast if you drive for a couple of hours in the highway at 70mph and then go to a 40mph road you will feel like you are going really slow. Now try to jump from a car doing 40 mph and tell me that’s not fast.
I feel sorry for the family of the guy who died and also for the guys driving, is not just the charges they probably are going to get, but the guilt (directly or indirectly they were driving and they will feel guilt ) of his friend dead. RIP

Also, I wonder where you hit this person. Was it out in the boonies or in a suburb. Because in the latter I would surely be expecting the unexpected. Kid running over to chase a ball, that sort of thing. To me there is no such thing as not being at fault hitting one. There are always 2 in an accident.
But maybe stuff is different in the states; I don’t know half your laws yet. But if I can get away with hitting a “bipod” because he/she is at fault in your justice system I’d feel dirty, but still go for it.
well the incident was like this, i was driving at 6:30pm it was raining a little bit it was november so it was dark already, 6:30 means crowded road here in texas, it was a two lane road (two north-two south) the line turn green and i started going, south, this lady tryed to run across the 4 lanes from the east, so pretty much she jump about 5 feet in front of me, a slamed the brakes,(no abs) the they locked and hit her, she was lucky that the car behind me prefered to hit a curve to her,o or else she would've been death. so is not my fault that someone is stupid enoght to try to cross 4 lanes in a dark rainy day, wearing a fricking black robe. No it wasnt in the suburbs, i live in the subusrbs and there is 30 mph speed limit and bumps everywere as i said it was in a crowded street, (hence the witnesses that told the cops it was the ladys fault). so yes there was 2 in the accident the driver and the idiot that forgot i had the faster than her metal box and she didn't. and yes i felt f**ed up, cuz is a life, but i couldn't do anything about it. now sorry if we americans have f***ked up laws and justice system, if you dont like them is simple, dont drive here.
