So, UrSSLOW, you're saying that the stock GTO times I posted and that are backed up with time slips are slow? These are legitimate times. Where's the stock ETs on a Mustang GT, any year, that compare?

 

No I wasn't talking to you. I know what the 5.7 and 6.0 is capable of. GMhipo posted saying a stock GTO beat a Ford GT, Viper and Z06.

 

I don't think hes saying there slow i think he saying that they aren't fast enough to be beating. Ford GT's Z06's and vipers. I could believe the z06 if it wasn't a c6 and the viper if it was 95 of older but come on a ford GT. Check out the best 1/4 times for these cars.

This is my source i'm sure i could find better ones but i just don't care that much. Do you see by the times where i don't believe the ford GT. The viper ok sure the c5z06 if it had a bad driver sure but don't come on to a mustang site and start throwing crazy stories. This is more directed to the guy that said he beat these.

6.0 Cavalier..........Hmmmmmmmmmm that would be fast. Yeh, I'd say that it would be faster then a 4.6 Mustang maybe even a Cobra. However, I thought this thread was about the GTO. It's faster the the Mustang too. But, then again the 4.6 Mustang still has it's hands full with 4 year-old LS1's. One thing at a time guys, you know baby steps, you'll get there one day.

I've beat an 05 Viper - twice in the same nite . . . Of course, I'm not stock I've beat C5 Z06s but haven't had a chance to race a C6 Z06 or a Ford GT. Win or lose - it would be fun!
