Oh I'm definitely with you guys, and I'll amend my statement. Rally racing is bar none the most insane type of racing! Those guys are so nut to do what they do. It still boggles my mind that they never race the course before they run it... they're just relying on a dude in their passenger seat with a map!!!

But, you could not rally race with an S2000 or a Mustang GT (that I know of haha), so it's a moot point

Its a drivers race. The S2000's can run high 13's stock. Same with the S197's. If i had to pick one id probly pick the S2000. They have amazing suspension that would give it an adge. Dont have the torque though...
What? You can pull low 13s with an S197 GT, they average mid 13s anyways. In a straight line with decent drivers, this is the S2000s race to LOSE

Tommy - I was laughing for about 10 min with that, haha...

You guys are forgetting a lil bit these new s197 GT's are good on turns, and have MUCH better suspension then the older mustangs, while still inferior suspension wise to the S2000, you guys do forget that they do have very good suspension... for a mustang.
Road and Track posted an article called Sibling Rivalry many years back... in that article they took several vehicles around Thunderhill raceway... A stock Camaro SS beat a stock Honda S2000 by a good second I believe.

Don't believe the Hype surrounding a high skidpad score....
