Default Ranger again. 06 ZO6 on DR's, rest is bone stock

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1531976

Made a few passes at Atco on Monday at a well organized rental attended by an enthusiatic group for Corvette and F-body owners. Many thanks TSAB, robz, Scott, Jason, Steve, the cartek crew, and many others who contributed to a fun day. Also thanks to Corey who shot the vids using my HD camcorder.

The pass was on 275.40.17 MT ET Street Radials. Splits were:

60'........1.684 (3600 rpm launch)
330'......4.749
660'......not recorded @ not recorded
1000'.....9.330
1320'...11.125 @ 124.97

The 1320' trap is low due to a low barometer (29.38 on my TAG Weather Station).

I kissed the limiter twice on this 11.12 pass. Unusual for me. I found that the rhythm of the LS7 was a bit different on the MT Radials than the 345 BFGs I've been running.

An attempt with a 4000 rpm launch and a quick clutch release glazed the finicky LS7 clutch. So raising the launch rpm much above 3600 will not improve the 60'/330' with a stock clutch.

Back to the track at MIR on Sunday Oct 29th.

Best to all,

Ranger
There's a vid on the link I posted. He's actually went quicker than this, but this was on video. Best pass so far with the same setup was a 11.10 127.94 1.78 60'.

New Super Chevy says that they pulled a 1.80 on the stock street tires. they also pulled an 11.57x at 126 at 100 degrees on a decent track. they also said it would cut an 11.2 in better conditions with stock tires... insanity
