That old man in the Vette is the reason why the exhaust sounds passive. Old farts don't want to hear the V8 rumble and drone. So since the majority of Vette owners are SSI recipients GM must please the majority. It sucks!!!!

I love the way Mustangs sounds...but honestly, what's the difference? 302 OHV motor vs a 346 OHV motor...both v8's. Why would anyone of them sound different than the other?
I think my LT's/bullets/.60x cam sound great. I yanked the exhaust off for torque arm clearance. I also think my buddies LT's/x-pipe/slowmastahs/.54x cam sounds great. I just can never tell the difference b/w a Mustang and any other v8, simply by hearing them.

I can definately tell the sound difference in any mustang vs chevy's. I don't quite know what it is that makes them sound that way, maybe exhaust route, firing order or something. I tried to get mine to sound like it but gave up after 5 different exhaust systems.
