Earlier tonight is stopped to get gas and there was a old man with a C6 vette.He started it up when I got out and man,it sounded weak as hell!!!!!! I thought maybe I shoud get in the Cobra and give him a few revs to let him know what a performance car should sound like.














































I decided not to,out of fear that the old man would wait for me and show me what a performance car should perform like.[sm=chairshot.gif]

 

When my car was stock it sounded like a Camry or something; the stock muffler is huge. Now if I open the cutout it's friggin' obnoxious.

 

Really I thought it sounded like a stock chevy P/U truck,I was expecting a little more powerfull sounding exhaust note.He didn't get on it at all though,maybe they sound better at WOT.

 

My WS.6 is very quiet, but when you open it up I really like the sound inside. It is quiet but authorotative. I dunno, I like it. I drove a cammed/full exhaust 5.0 for a while so I know good sound, I just like the refined scream of the WS.6 under WOT.

 

My brother's C6 sounds like a whole bunch of nothing. He has commissioned me to pick an exhaust for him.

 

I always give LSx motors a lot of credit they are very formidable cars and engines, but in the war of sound... Ford>GM

I still haven't been able to race a LS2 Vette, the only C6 Vette that wanted to run me was a z06... I would've posted how bad i got my a** kicked, but we ran into a traffic jam.. thank god, haha.

 

true duals even things up. There is an LSX truck running around town here that has true duals on it and it sounds much meaner than my mustang and my 5.0 sounds about as mean as it gets without getting you pulled over. Cam, full exhaust, ect.

 

My friends dad threw headders and a tune on his C6.. still sounds about the same at idle, but damn it roars when he gets on it. Still has the stock catback.. no idea why he only put LT's on it.

Yeah, from what I've read on C6 forums, the sound of a stock Vette really leaves much to be desired. It seems like there aren't many choices either to make it sound really "good"... although the majority of people on there with aftermarket headers, LTs, etc. who bitch about the noise are cranky old men anyway.

 

I've heard LSx cars with true duals and I still think that Mustangs sound better. Just my opinion.
