Yes they work, my question is does anyone have a jammer? I tried to build one a couple years back but it didnt work. I want to buy one but am very skeptical. If you could get one of those that worked it would be killer

i think this was posted a while back. theres a site that does reviews for jammers
they're flippin expenseve from what i saw.....like $500+. but apperantly they work very well. they mount in your front and rear bumpers...or sumthin like that. and basically screw with radar and laser. good stuff. if its not all just hype

Default RE: Radar detectors?

I did a little research on radar detectors last night because of a ticket I got on the interstate yesterday (and no, it wasn't in my fast car lol =/) I used to drive 24/7 with a detector in my old WRX and I'm surprised I've gone this long without one.

For me, immunity to radar detector detectors (RDD) is extremely important because detectors are illegal here in VA. I used to use a really nice small, lightweight, wireless, undetectable detector called the PNI Silver Bullet. It worked pretty well, the range wasn't huge, but it saved my butt countless times. I found mine on Ebay for like 80 bucks or something.

Since then I know that technology has changed, so I did a little more research and this looks like the new kid on the block:
Beltronics STi (lol): http://www.radarbusters.com/products...sti_driver.asp
It's a little pricey, but it's the only detector that has full immunity to all RDDs because it's enclosed in a magnesium case so that it doesn't leak any signals. The detection range is supposed to be huge too. I'll probably pick this one up soon, use it on my daily driver, then I'm resolved to use it and an integrated 360* laser jammer on my next sports car.

Here's one of the sites I looked on:

I have a whistler 18 something I fogt the exact numbers but it works pretty good its saved me atleast 10 times. The farthest the range has went was a little over a 1/4 mile.
