Speed

Well on the bike about 156mph. Feelings like your going alot faster when you're on a bike. I had a little more in it but I was starting to catch up to some cars on the highway so I figured I'd shut it down. It's only a 600 kinda sad I could beat a vette for awhile but I top out way before they do [>:]The mustang I've only done about 120.

Edit Damn double post!
I dont look at speedo much, only to check if Im legal, but thats when Im not racing.. For me its all in gears, when drag racing, or going into corner while road racing. A typical race is 1st gear, smooth shift into 2nd, power shift into 3rd. By this time most anything out there is in the back of my nice wide drifing mirror. If not, its another power shift into 4th, by that time it should be going tripple digits.
If not off the light, I always have my speed in my head and associate it with my drop gear, it should be either 3rd, or 2nd. If Im not sure its 3rd. This is how most races are "lost". Ricers get a false sense of victory. So you barely made it past me while I was in 5th, big deal.
If its off the light, let it go asap after you got a win, the longer you hold it, the more your ticket will cost, and the more chance you have of killing yourself if something goes wrong.
Dont watch speed, watch revs, it should be until 6000 then up shift, and until it hits 6000 again.

So far I've been up to 145mph on the San Mateo Bridge (late night). It was still pulling very well but I had to let off due to a car closing fast up ahead. No matter the time of day in the Bay area there will always be someone on the road screwing up my personal speed record........lol

While racing of all things, another Z06(C5) on a empty 15 fwy I went up to 187mph In 5th@5600rpm. I still had a few more rpms to go(7000) in fith and I still had another gear. But I shut it down. At that point the other Z06 was a distant memory. I will hit 200 soner or later....
