What is the fastest speed you guys hit when you race, i have had my car since april and i still havent raced anyone, get challenged all the time, a little nervous to race because my dad said if i get one ticket and my insurance goes up he will sell my car.

 

120 no more, my car is about to lift off the ground at a little over 120 and wont go more than 130 so thats fast enough for me.

 

Sometime 100+ But I usually let off around 90 if I even get that far.


Good. Lets keep it that way. but if you must race on the streets make sure the roads are completely empty and be safe.

if you go over 110, its not even a drag race in a street car...really anything over 90 on the street is just ridiculous.

 

While racing of all things, another Z06(C5) on a empty 15 fwy I went up to 187mph In 5th@5600rpm. I still had a few more rpms to go(7000) in fith and I still had another gear. But I shut it down. At that point the other Z06 was a distant memory. I will hit 200 soner or later....

 

you have a good father. as stated earlier just be really safe if you want to race. be smart...

 

That is all going to depend on the race really. I'm letting out at 110 or less reguardless of a win or loss nowadays. But before I kept in it until either he let out, was too far ahead to even think hed have a chance, or I hit the limiter. I've hit the limiter a couple times (130) once against an integra and once the first week seeing what it will do. But I don't recommend the street gig, its not as safe. You can kill, get killed or get arrested. Only times I did it was on a 4 lane divided flat highway in the daytime (too many deer around here and you can see things better) in a little town I live in.

I don't go over 90 on city streets. On the hwy its 120 or 125.
