possibly.. the "new" dyno should be here saturday, lol... the weight and the IRS, shouldn't be a problem for a car with more then 100rwhp and lb ft tor more then you... with drag radials and a IRS brace...

The d/r will be coming - i am not racing anyone until i get them, I have Street slicks right now, lol maybe from a roll only, like i did the c6z06... but im down for whatever

Yeah, it's really kind of an apples to oranges comparison Tommy. I mean, you're comparing 2.8L to 7 right? =P There's going to be a ton more torque in the lower rpms because of the displacement difference. I just thought that overlay was funny, a guy on one of the Subaru forums did it randomly.
No, you're comparing a 2.8L to a 5.7L. Actually it is 7L, he's talking about the C6 Z06

The torque curve is very nice... nice and flat, but am I the only one that noticed the HP curve doesnt hit 250rwhp until like 4000rpms?? I wouldn't say that makes a ton of power down low, as far as horsepower goes... It has a very nice curve (don't get me wrong), and you made very nice numbers.. so congrats!
Says the guy who has a 'lil bit of help from Eaton...
I see it says "OLD DYNO" there xxkazp3rxx, do you have a "new" one. Do you think my weight advantage and the fact that my IRS actually works well at the track are enough to run with ya??

Im actually kind of dissapointed... i expected more out of an LS6... those look more like LS2 numbers to me... are ls2's not rated at 400hp motor? that should make there rwhp around that sheets... So technicaly motor wise, whats the difference between an LS-2 and LS-6?

First of all Mr. Rogers, yes I love my car. It has little things I need to fix that the original owner broke and got tired off like the SunVisor clip and the right window wont go down, but these things are easy to do and small enough to not worry about considering what I got. I've got plans for this car. I'm working at them already.

Blazer, I will be out at Orlando Speedway Oct 3rd for a Corvette Challenge, maybe we can meet up there and get a grudge match run or something. It will be the second time I've run the car on a track. The first will be this Saturday In Tampa for another Corvette Challenge sponsored by another company, the same one that did my tune and work yesterday. PM me if you want to try and do something else. I'm willing to go out for a test and tune night or something, just give me a little heads up and I'll try and make it happen.

Josh

did u mean DEC 3rd? as OCT was last month ( unless u can go back in time ) haha.
do u know what day it is going to be? wed or friday, or funday sunday? if it is on a sunday, count me in, as them are the best track prep days.

I'm retarded. Yes it is Dec 3rd, which is a Sunday. Hopefully I'll see ya there.

xxkazp3rxx,
I wasn't calling you out . Just was curious on what I need to do to keep up with the comp. I realize your IRS isn't as efficient as mine and I was just wondering how bad it hurts as far as track times go. Looking forward to the new times.

I'm putting in my new plugs and wires and hopefully that key in the shifter will play nice tonight, so I can get the short throw on. I need these things done before Saturday as they will help me considerably. It appeared I was having a little difficulty with my plugs on the Dyno. Hopefully the few bugs that are there will be gone and I can rip off some good low 12s. Me being a novice to this whole world, I'm really only expecting mid 12s to high 12s, but the car has the potential for low 12s. It will be on me to pull them off.

The LS2 is rated at 400hp, the 2002 LS6 is only rated at 405hp, and that's a 20hp jump over the 2000 model ZO6.

This upgrade to the LS6 engine’s output is the result of new hollow stem valves, a higher-lift camshaft, a low restriction mass air flow (MAF) sensor and a new low restriction air cleaner design. Eliminating the PUP converter from the exhaust system enables better flow of spent gasses and reduces vehicle weight, without compromising Corvette’s NLEV (National Low Emission Vehicle) status.
The LS2 is 364ci, whereas the LS6 is 346. From everything I've read, the LS6 has a more aggresive cam than the LS2, and that's basically the only difference motor wise. The LS2 was also very conseratively tuned compared to the LS6 motor.

Yeah, He compared his WRX to a C6 Z06, not a C5 Z06. This is a confusing thread now.

phrkshw I actually live in Winter Haven about 40 or so miles from Tampa. I go to USF, nice commute huh? I will be out there Saturday, so if you stop by cool, I'll have the Electron Blue Z06. You shouldn't miss it[8D]. Like it will be the only one there. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to identify you with your black stang. You should stick out if you go. Either way run your Stang and report back with some timeslips or numbers, doesn't bother me.

Josh
lol, i love my stang, so im not about to show to a vette challenge in it! hahahaha - the Z06s would eat it alive!!! even if i didnt race! lol

maybe ill come out and scope out the competition for when my car is all built and fast!

Any Top Gear fans here?

Saw something interesting in their Z06 review. You can watch it on youtube sometime if you want. Just look under "top gear corvette".

Clarkson starts the car, puts it in fifth (the first overdrive gear) from a dead stop, and accelerates all the way to 160. He runs out of runway before he runs out of torque.

I'm more a fan of automotive engineering than of any one particular car. I have to say, that's some good engineering.

I've got it buffering and downloading now. I'll edit with what I see. I'm with you on the engineering part, big fan.

The C6 Z06 has a 7.0L V8. The C5 Z06 has a 5.7.

My b, gents, for some reason (only apparent to me) I thought he was talking about V6yellowStang's Z06.

Nice numbers,You should be able to squeeze more power out of it with little $ mods. When i dynoed my nova the guy running it started adjusting on it and said you got it about as good as it is gonna get(389HP 411TQ).$2500.00 in the motor and i built it in my basement.
