Default Could I win??

I want to know if my 98 v6 slightly modded will win against a 2003 dodge neon stock.

Yes, the neon is slow. A SRT4 is a different story..

I think my 03 Focus will beat out a 03 Neon. What does that say?

Yes.

Put down a "C" note to win.

if your auto and he is standard you will prolly lose, otherwise you should win.

i know someone with a base model neon with a mtx, and it runs 16.0s...with intake and exhaust...that will beat a v6 stang, especially if the stang as an auto

I always thought the auto had the advantage off line. Some people say automatics are faster than sticks.

those people are stupid.

automatics are more consistant, and allow for more precise, but that typically only applies to modified auto transmissions. however, a car with the automatic transmission has a higher drivetrain loss, so a well driven mtx car should typically outrun a well driven auto trans. also, off the line, a manual car should have an advantage, as the driver can bring it out at a higher rpm, which usually allows the car to be in its proper power range.

This is what I was told when I converted from auto to stick. I would lose 1 second off 1/4 times because the boost curve always drops with each shift. With an automatic, the boost curve is always rising, never dropping at full throttle.

I understand your point, however, on a naturally asperated engine.

not if youre a good driver...thats the exact reason that a well driven sRT4 is MUCH MUCH faster than a poorly driven srt4, because they drop out of the power band...
