I always thought the auto had the advantage off line. Some people says automatics are faster than sticks.

automatics are more consistant, and allow for more precise, but that typically only applies to modified auto transmissions. however, a car with the automatic transmission has a higher drivetrain loss, so a well driven mtx car should typically outrun a well driven auto trans. also, off the line, a manual car should have an advantage, as the driver can bring it out at a higher rpm, which usually allows the car to be in its proper power range.

not if youre a good driver...thats the exact reason that a well driven sRT4 is MUCH MUCH faster than a poorly driven srt4, because they drop out of the power band...
