I peak w/ power at about 4700 rpms and shift between 4700-5k. Works for me. My shift point is so low because of the stock nonPI heads. They really fall on their face after 5 grand. Make no mistake though, it has outrun more than one PI GTs though.
I feel a pull with my car up to and about 6500 (stock* with oversized pipes) but with Eddie's 88 its a 5speed version of mine but he has 2.25 pipes so its a little better than mine, but anyways he will wait until he hits 7k (last digit on our 5.0 gauges) his is stock* as well
*= motor wise not powertrain as we both have 4.10s
Quick question! Would it be better to have a car that produces peak power at 6200 than declines linearly or 7500 and both cars have the same horsepower.
