i was being safe...at least mentioning what i thought would SURELY beat one...
nanaki, i dont doubt that with just intake/exhaust a cobra puts down huge numbers, but we have seen many times that 425hp doesnt always equate to a very fast car. hell, i read somewhere that it took a guy 200 more whp just to run 12.20s..

Lifting the valve covers is not neccessary, just some choice bolt-ons.

im not familiar enough with the newer vettes to know what it takes to put an LS1 vette into the low 12s...but i would venture to say that it doesnt take more than a cam and some head work?

Gratz on the vette. I was heavily looking for one when my current car came on the market. If the price wasnt damn near perfect I probably would still be searching for my vette... Still considering a 3rd 100% useless in the winter car and picking up my uncles completely redone 79.
