RX-7?
I have a 1994 Rx-7 twin turbo yada...yada..yada. Check sig below....
Now if you guys are runing the 1/4 mile, the dude in the Rx-7 will very likely give you a run for your money. If he knows how to drive. Once you get to the tripple digits (highway race) your 03 should rape the seven especially if all he has is a downpipe and a catback.
It's true the 3rd generation Rx-7 can be modified to be crazy fast but it's not cheap nor easy, unless you find someone that really knows what they are doing. Then it's only easy but not cheap

dexmex I've read your post but I have an inquirie about this that you wrote:
400 RWHP on stock twins??? Dude no way... 350 max, and I mean max. The stock twins can't handle past 15 psi, most people claim 14 but whatever, there's a reason why people upgrade. Another note, not one single person has beeen able to back up BNR's ball bearing twin turbos claim of 400 RWHP. And BNR's are much durable than the stockers...

Modded Fd's with stock twins can run low 11's with 400 rwhp,

Damnit, I didn't mean to say stock, I just meant twins in general, and I thought some guy proved you could hit 400 on the forum? he posted a dyno of 406 rwhp?

406 cool, I hadn't seen that. Last I heard there were people being skeptic on the capabability of the BNR's stage 3's but no one had proved it yet. Glad to hear that someone stepped up.
Hi guys,
I'm from Rx7club.com
Some how this was found and posted over there.
Just a warning there may be a troll or two but hopefully they won't start anything.
I'm not sure what a Cobra runs in the 1/4 but a Stock 3rd gen(FD 93-95 in the US)
has 255 hp and is generally around the low 14/high 13 range. These are semi-real times not some magazine pro driver crap.
The 3rd gen can be made pretty quick but I'm not an FD pro so I don't know specifics.
A 2nd Gen(FC 86-91) has a variable HP.
Non Turbo 86-88 were 145hp and 138tq
Turbo 87-88 were 180hp and XXXtq(i think 150tq but not sure)
Non Turbo 89-91's had around 160hp and 150tq.
Turbo 89-91 had 200hp and I think 180tq.
The TurboII(two's) runs a low 15 stock generally.
The TurboII can be made quick for cheap.
Fuel pump, boost controller, exhaust ,intake and you've raised the boost from 5-7psi to 12psi(higher needs injectors/starts to run out of efficiency range).
This has netted my friends high 13's on a stock turbo. The mods would cost around 1k with the exhaust being the main $$ factor.
A bigger turbo has gotten my friends cars into the 400+ range easily. So far they have run 12's on street tires and a lot of buringing out down the track.
but then again your into the whole my modded this can beat the stock that crap.
I would assume the Cobra would beat this easily.
Now the Spirit R is a very special FD which was never brought to the US so you'll never see one here.
The only 3 rotor car ever produced is the Eunos Cosmo which is sold in Japan only as well.
There was never a 4 rotor made in a mass produced car other than the Lemans winning 787B.
