Roundman races at VMP
I go to NEDW(New England Dragway)
We don't live near eachother, but he likes to think he's got the faster car
And it's a good thing he lives up there or I would be kicking his *** on a weekly basis.

BTW OB, just so you know how good a deal you got on those tires and wheels, the two Centerline Auto Drag 15x8 wheels I got cost me $340.04 last year including valve stems and the two new Mickey Thompson ET drag slicks with tubes and balancing cost $515.44 for a total of $855.48!

I spent most of Saturday opening up the wheelwells just a little bit to ensure that there is plenty of tire clearance for the new slicks since I went up to a 28" tire and the fit is a little closer to the tread surface than I was comfortable with, so I removed some of the rubber ground effects trim work around the wheelwells and trimmed it back some and also hammered back so of the wheelwell lips just to make sure nothing will rub on the new tires. while I was messing around under the car in the trailer, I noticed that the rear bumper was only held in by 6 bolts and some plastic washers that attached the bumper cover to it, so I removed it while I was at it. It didn't want to come out easily, but I persisted and after a couple of busted knuckles, I got it out of there. The damn thing weighs 33 lbs if you can believe it!! And since I took the inside trim panels loose to remove the ground effects pieces, I will be going back in there tomorrow with a heat gun and putty knives to scrape out some of the sound deadening material from the metal surfaces where I plan to install the firewall eventually. Every pound removed means I will be just that much quicker this coming Thursday OB, so take you best shot off the bottle Wednesday night if you expect to be quicker than me for a day!!!!

Hehehe
Jesus you paid a lot for tires...

And You can take out all the weight you want.
You Still got a GT(not a notch mr Drag Racer)
and You're not THAT much under me(I hope)
But I am still making MUCH more power and a nice solid launch and burnout should get me my 13.3

Well I guess we'll just have to wait until Wednesday night to see, now won't we? And the traction may not be as good since it's been a couple weeks since the IHRA boys were in town and they laid down lots of rubber which improved the racing conditions. And get that scanner fixed too, I want to see real live timeslips of the big event, provided you can do it without the bottle! And if you can get a 12 with the bottle, well that's good too!
