With a steel head gasket and a good tuning setup, a turbo M3 is easily capable of mid-11s at over 120mph =. Unfortuneately, they do not respond all that well to NA modification in my experience. I've seen a couple e36s hit 300rwhp NA (note: e36=1993?-1999?), but they are hardly streetable, and it takes some high compression and aggressive camming to do it. My three best friends work or worked at a shop called Shatz and Krum in Sac that specializes in BMW and Porsche, and went on a ride in one of those rare NA beasts. It had ~310rwhp, and that was a rediculously fast 310rwhp!!! but it died on idle if you didn't give it gas, and the owner had put ~$20,000 into it to do so. Newer M3s I've heard have just as much or more trouble getting decent gains from bolt-ons, as they are nearly maxed out from the factory, and the parts are insanely priced.

...but who knows what doors will open with a german v8...!!!

Race one on a cold day. it takes 10 minutes before the engine management system will let the motor run full out

Nice man!Respect for that!!

Dude M3s are no ****in joke. My uncles friend owns two of those, one is silver and the other one is red. Bad *** rides,I would like to have one someday. What are they priced at anyway? I think my uncle told me his friends red one(dont really know what year its an 02+ model I believe by the looks of it puts out roughly about 335 HP on a 6 cylinder engine. Are M3s inline6 or?? Sweet rides!!

Most of the 1/4 mile times I've seen for the M3 have been in the low to mid 13's, right around what an LS1 F-body will run.

Then, without exaggeration, he is God's gift to drag racing. I give major props, as I haven't seen or heard of such a thing before.

Yeah,I remember one of the mags running like a 13.3,so I can see a good driver on a dragstrip running a 13.1.The new M3s are getting the previous gen. M5s 400hp V8,thats gonna be a hell of a car.

I think with an M3 its a drivers race. They can run anywhere from low to mid 14s..pretty much what a stock Gt does. And since you have mods im not really surprised. I wouldnt mess with one from a rolling start though, I think he would take you there. They only made one edition of the M3 that goes into the high 13s. Some sort of sport edition that is lighter and has a better suspension.
M3'scan be a low to mid13's if driven properly. Also the only sport edition that was made was the CSL which was only avalible in europe. It was made mostly of carbon fiber and weighed about 300 lbs lighter. The ZCP package that was avalible here in america was a package that had slighly bigger brakes, the steering was also tightened a tad bit, a different steering wheel, and optional BBS style 19" rims. As for performance nothing is different.
