M3 beat
so i was driving down the road and see this bmw get onto the road w/ a little pep. so i speed up and caught a light w/ it. it was a 01+ m3. i gave it a rev and he just looks over at me. so the light turns green and we both take off. 1st gear i was next to him, mid 2nd geari started pullingaway,top 3rdgear i was 4 lengths ahead, i shut her down at 90mph. Then he just stayed behind me. So i was pretty happy that, that happened. i almost couldn't believe it. that was thesecond m3 i raced. the first one was when my 94 gt was completelystock and igot my feeling hurt pretty bad. m3's have about 333 hp and 260ish tq and weight 3400lbs. i should of lost, right? wtf, maybe he was driving it like $hit.

I think with an M3 its a drivers race. They can run anywhere from low to mid 14s..pretty much what a stock Gt does. And since you have mods im not really surprised. I wouldnt mess with one from a rolling start though, I think he would take you there. They only made one edition of the M3 that goes into the high 13s. Some sort of sport edition that is lighter and has a better suspension.

From a dig, an e46 m3 is quite beatable. They are easily capable of mid 13s stock, but do not launch well, dominating in roll races and corner-carving with their tuned suspension and peppy i6 motor. However, they do NOT live up to their 333hp on a moderate-weight car, IMO. Good kill, though you might be exaggerating the "4 car lengths" part.

yeah i don't know if it was a true 4 lengths. all i know is that he wasn't next to me and wasn't behind me, you know where a normal car that is just following another car is. he was alittle futher back than that.
