well right now hes running the kumho ecstas and im running cooper zeon 2xs which are a very soft compound so soft that i can dump the clutch and boils the hell out of the tires and i have no tracks to prove it so do you think they would hook up well on the track>?

They won't for crap at the track, get a real tire on there and you will cream him

Nitto 555r's. Mine lasted forever. Through many track trips and almost constant daily driving.

I saw a 93 Z28 dyno a while back and stock was putting down 233HP to the wheels. With your mods and if you can work the track, it could be even. You need to get some MT drag radials and work on getting some great 60' times. Just don't launch to high in the rpms and snap an axle. you could win then for sure.

 

I've seen them somewhere online, 275/50/15's, for $130 each....

They're great tires for driving/racing. I was pulling 1.6 short times on them with a 100% stock suspension and drove the car to/from the track.
