My dad and i have a grudge because im a mustang guy and hes a camaro guy. we are gonna run our cars at the strip in the spring and i was wanting to see what chance i have....

i have an 89 mustang lx with a 302 crate(pretty much stock motor), gt40 iron heads, b303 cam, cobra upper and lower intake, cold air, shorty headers, uncatted x pipe, and dual flows and before i go im dropping a 3.73 gear and a new mgw shifter.......hes got a stock 94' z28 with cold air and thats about it .......the only reason i ask is bc his car acts like it has a **** load more power than mine and he swears hell stomp my ***. but i think all hes got is experience

 

whats the scoop should i talk some smack or should i let the track tell all

 

With a good driver you should beat him.

I had an 87 lx with maf conversion, B303 cam, Mac full exhaust, 3.73 gears, MSD ignition, cobra upper and lower intake, short throw shifter, and 150 shot. It would run mid 8s in the 1/8th on motor and mid 7s on gas.

 

I love the way it sounds. Loud.

 

what about a 1/4 mile because i have everything you have (or going to) w/o the nitrous and msd.......

 

you should put a sound clip bc ive been close to taking it back to get an o/r h pipe but i can never decide

 

I've never run the quarter but with 3.73s if you get him out of the hole I don't think he could catch you.

 

I can do a sound clip. Give about 15 or 20 min. I have to record it and put it on.
