Always watch out for the one with mismatched colors, only primer or just generally crappy looking. They usually couldn't afford a paint job after the motor work.

Used to see a guy at the street races that had a Chevy II Luv pickup. he'd show up with slicks in the bed and after he'd line up a race, he'd put the slicks on and put the street tires in the bed. The thing had a 350 in it and launched like a rocket. I watched him give a crotch rocket lengths, then smoke him. If you can get it to hook up, those and a S10 are great. Light weight and can fit a V8 in them. You can do the same thing with older Rangers but I haven't seen any that REALLY impressed me yet.

Well, there's quite a few trucks that could hang with/outrun a poorly driven new edge, and even some well driven ones. Plus some of them would put a zipcode on a stock SN-95 non PI car. So I guess they figure the new ones are the same. At least you get to show them that they're wrong.

Besides, everyone knows that when these guys put a SLOWmaster muffler on their truck, they're unbeatable. Just look at the ricers. Loud = fast!

A kid at my work claims to have an '86 S-10 with a blown 350 in it. I dont believe him. He said he'll bring it to work, but we'll see about that.

Wow what is your elevation Was it a manual or auto? If it was a manual I hope you live in Denver[8D]...if not the kid sucks at life.

You talking about me? If so can't you see the Roush kit? Adds 175 fwhp

The only trucks that try and race me are huge trucks with lifts and rednecks driving them.

Yeah, I've started realizing that. There is a guy in town with 99 GT that has some serious mods to it, but has dents and is like 4 different colors but sounds like a friggin jet when he floors it.

it was a manual GT, completely stock...the track wasnt great, but she still ran in the 14s, while he did not...and im not talking about you..there used to be a guy here named quik who had what he claimed to be a low 13 second fox body, and he would write "STOCK" on the bacn window at the track, although it wasnt stock...it was mostly stock, but it still had stuff done to it...like her truck.

Haha that's hilarious

That guy sucks honestly. My first time I ran was is translated to around a 14.5-6 and I still think that was horrible. Damn prep/noob[8D]
