How fast do those s-10s go in a 1/4 milewith a 350 dropped in if it gets traction?

A friend of mine has an '88 single cab, short bed S10 w/ a mild 350 in it. W/ street slicks it ran 8.50's in the 1/8. Now he's got a Procharger, w/ minitubs and slicks.......... 6.60's in the 1/8.

there used to be a guy that ran at PRP...it was a long bed s10 with a fuel cell..tubbed...350 that sounded pretty healthy...huge slicks...and it ran low 14s.

Well, there's quite a few trucks that could hang with/outrun a poorly driven new edge, and even some well driven ones. Plus some of them would put a zipcode on a stock SN-95 non PI car. So I guess they figure the new ones are the same.
I believe this Must be the case. There was this guy at my job with an SN-95 that believed they were the same because the S197's are heavier, the horsepower didn't make a difference, so my friend Eric challenged him with his 05, and they raced. Both were stock. Now he respects the new one's a little better now.

At least you get to show them that they're wrong.
Showing them they are wrong is priceless.
