yeah, give it a shot, as long as you aren't racing for money. if the guy cannot drive, you have a shot, unless he really is pushing 230rwhp, then you are going to have problems.
i raced and beat an rsx a couple of years back by half a car with bbk o/r h and an intake, not an S though.

Unless he has some kind of F/I he isn't pushing 230 rwhp. Properly driven an S will take you. Race him from a dig and you should have a fairly good chance unless he can drive real well
i dont care waht he does, no RSX is going to but anything to the rear wheels. Just a thought though

I have a 1998 NPI with long tubes. My friend has an 06 RSX-S and I smoked the **** out of him. The kid can drive well but those things dont get off the line for sh*t. if you can launch well and your car is strong running i would say you should be able to take him atleast till about 80. They have a pretty strong top end and are much more aerodynamic (which nobody ever takes into play). if you raced him from a roll (rolls are retarded *and for pussies*) he would most likely beat you if he knew how to drive. off the line i can beat a stock RSX-S 6 speed by about 3 car lengths (easy). from a 40 roll (which i hate) it is pretty close, but i can still pull a good car till around 110. And that was all with NO nitrous. I save that for real cars like LS1's and cobras!

its a drivers race. and hopefully you can drive. dont forget. nobody in your car but you, quarter tank of premium, and no spare tire!

You must be a pretty good driver. With just LT's and an intake in a NPI car you ran 14.5, that is pretty good. Avg NPI GT is around 15.0-15.2, so your doing pretty good for yourself in that car. Stock for stock, an RSX-S and a 94-98 GT is pretty even, but I'd give the RSX the win 75% of the time, just aslong as the driver can drive. My friend had exhaust, header, intake on his and would beat 99-04 GT's all the time, and that is without aHondata. I see you ran a 13.8 with nitrous, definately not fast enough to hang with LS1's or 03/04 Cobras.

A properly driven Type-S can beat auto or manual GT's from 98 and before. The avg 1/4 times for 94-98 GT's are about 15.0-15.2 or so. An RSX Type-S can run 14.7 stock, but avg 14.9-15.0. Its basically a drivers race, but if you get equal drivers behind the wheel of both, the RSX is gonna win.
