if your suspension/tires can't handle your RWHP, your done
first thing that comes to mind on this topic is JDDAN

Naa he just could'nt drive. He had another guy drive the car and it went into the 10's.
well he still comes to mind for some reason [8D]
what was it high 12's with 650RWHP?

In his defense, it was the first time he was ever at the track with an IRS and most people on this forum havent driven a car with half that much power.

He was able to get a bolt-on only GT in the 12's. Sooo... if that gives you any idea how hard it is to get used to it.
I don't think he ever cracked into the 12's with that car, I could be wrong though. BTW he aqlways blamed the lowering springs for the cars poor performance. And yes I have made many runs in cars with that kind of RWHP.

Brent also had slicks and good driving. 300rwhp is the definition of breaking into 12s with a decent driver on a decent track, especially with gears. I've done it twice, though never on good tires, and just barely.
On your DUBs?
No, though I could pull it off with them and a well-prepped track now. I trapped almost 107 with them on.

The point is, 300rwhp and a good driver and decent track should dip into the high 12s.

I know you have... but most havent. He did talk too much ****, but I was under the impression he only took it to the track once. (probalby cause he didnt want to go back) Alot of people on this forum think that they could just hop into a 600rwhp car and run 10's simple as that.

Hey now, that was on stock suspension.

Jdaniel ran a 13.0x with just boltons + control arms on nitto drag radials. Regardless of what he ran in the cobra he got a bolton GT to a dammed good time.

300 WHP in a 94 is more than enough for 12s.

I know is was on stock suspension but mustang suspension > supra's suspension

your video hits the nail on the head what happens when a car has more RWHP but can't hook for ****

a very good vid that I've always liked

The supra has practically no weight transfer. I think I have a similar problem being lowered. Next time I go to the track i'll dump my front swaybar and see if that helps. Hopefully I'll have some new tires by then, but I don't want slicks. If I can't run it on street tires then I don't see the point, except to say I did it I guess. I want to hit 12's without adding any more power adders. I have a Denny's driveshaft on the way and i'll dump all the weight I can next time I go. That means bye, bye spare.
