tire pressure
Anything other than the reccommended pressure will reduce the contact patch. I have experimented with this myself at the strip. Increased traction will only be found with drag tires.
You will probably get a better 60 ft time. When street tires are that underinflated they "cup," so that only the outside edges are making contact with the ground. Just run them at 34 psi like normal. That's where I've found the best traction (or less spin, I should say).

some people think that by droping the pressure in street tires you get better traction at the strip, ihave tried this and my 60 fts went in the tank.....keep it at the street pressure....i could cut some 2.0 60's with street tires when left at street pressure....the way to go is get a set of nitto 555 dr's Bfg's or mickeys (listed least to most sticky in my experience)

So much is made of dropping rear psi tire pressure at the track. What's extremely underestimated is over inflatting the front tires.Less drag and better trap speeds.
