all T/A's had ram air hoods, only WS6's had functional - but it doesn't do anything unless you're going over 70 mph - same with Mach 1's :-/ my wifes old car used to be a 2000 T/A but it wasn't a WS6 it had like fake honeycomb in the inlets like how the mustangs do. i hated that car, felt so cheap.

All automatic WS6 carscome with 3.23 gears, an option on non-WS6Firebirds/Trans Ams.
And yes, all 6-speed F-bodies come with 3.42 gears.
No, the pretty hood doesn't actually make the car faster. Timeslips confirm this.

Regular T/A's are just as fast as ws6's , the ram air hood doesnt add even close to 15 or 20 hp and all m6 ls1's had 3.42 gears not just ws6's and the automatics had either 2.73's or 3.23's

WS-6 is not an appearance package, I had one. It adds upgraded suspension hardware, the ram-air induction (20hp increase for LT1, 15hp increase for LS1), the "high-performance" lower gears (3.42 I think), and Hurst shifter in 6MT cars.
