Default Bye bye 05!

I had a race last night against a blown 05! Someone probably my age, mid 20s, with some chick out on rt 50. Just got my car tuned yesterday afternoon so my foot was heavy anyway.

Basically, we weren't racing just yet, just side by side and then he waved like "see-ya!" and took off to the next red light. You could hear the sexy whine. Pull up next to him and he's got his windows up smiling and rev'ing. Guess he couldn't hear my car over his constant rev'ing. Light goes green, he gets the jump, then I wizz by after I hit second. Tires weren't hookin for shat for either of us. Only went up to about 65 and I had a car and some change on him.

Next light he rolls his windows down and just says "What the hell is in that?" My reply was "A lot".

I'm happy with the car, but I still have a bunch more to do to it. Now that the block is in, fuel is my limiting factor. So that's next on the todo list.

Hahaha. That's awesome, but considering you don't have any internal work, and given that he has more hp stock, does that mean you beat the driver?

He's got ported heads, cams and a built block. I think his motor is "better" than a stock 3V with a blower[8D]

yeah. i have a brand new MMR shortblock in there with stage 3 heads & cams. i ordered my fuel system which should be here next weekend, then i gotta schedule a time to put it in.

also, if you read, that 05 had a "whine". he had a saleen or a KB or something on it. it was definitely screaming at me.

i JUST got my block installed 2 weeks ago and it just got tuned yesterday. i'm definietely going to the track when it warms up and i have everything completed. i have my cobra tank and pumps going in, 60lbs injectors, a new MAF extender, vortech t-trim and a new tranny. the tranny is going in before the t-trim (going to just go one more pulley lower in the meantime). dunno what tran i want yet though.

Nice kill Dave ^_^ What numbers did you end up at with your current fuel system? Funny too, that was the same exact limiting factor for me
