Alright, so on friday night I lined up with my friends RX-8(auto). I had been hearing some stuff about it and wanted to see if it was true. Well the first time we raced the light turned green and my friend wasn't ready and to say the least I put like 6 buses between us. The next time we raced my friend let my other friend drive the car so we are going along at 45mph he counts 1....2....3 and we both go at the same time at 60 I've got 1/2 car, we keep going at 75 I'm a car ahead, when I hit 85 I've got 1 1/2 cars and we shut down. Next we turn onto this road and go from a stop he counts again 1.....2.....3 instantly I jump a 1/2 car at 45 I have a car, at 65 1 1/2 cars and at 85 I had 2 cars and then we shut down. All in all they were good races and I was surprised at the results both times. I'm really happy that I beat an RX-8.

I've test driven RX-8's, once you get them going they are respectably quick. If you don't launch from 3k+ it's a pointless to even race, they have zero torque.

Yeah, I seen one on Tuner Transformation last night. They dyno'd one that put down ~ 170hp / 130 tq. The guys then added a nitrous kit. But they also added some huge wheels that would probably negate the added power.
And yes,...I watch the show sometimes.
Mainly to see if the two guys that are on it will ever fight.

Nice kill, those things are not slow. They should run low to mid 14's, like Dub said. I've also raced one and put a hurtin' on it. I almost felt bad for the girl driving it, she probably thought it was really quick. Had to hand out a lesson in pushrod torque.
