Default dyno questions!!!

Hey guys...i'mfamiliar with5 speed manual transmissions but "new" to the 4 speed world....now with a 5 speed car on a dyno you run in 4th gear....BUT in a 4 speed car what gear do you run the dyno on? 3rd? or 4th?

thanks!!

4 speed auto correct?

I would guess 3rd just because 4th is overdrive (if it is a stock 4 speed automatic)

thats correct 3rd for an auto, you want the 1:1 ratio.

you would do the pull in 4th gear cause the 4spd manuals have no overdrive which is what the 5th gear in a 5spd is
