03/04 cobra > ls2 gto period
Just too bad the Cobra has to have a S/C to make the same amount of power as the LS2, [8D].
Too bad the GTO has 1.4 more liters and can't even hang

you have no idea what you just opened. the LS2 has more displacement, more compression, more cam.

how come when ford has it at 4.6 281 cubes and chevy has a 5.7 or 6.0 liter engine, we race, the chevy fans are like, we kicked your *** and it's fair. though when ford sticks a blower on a small cubed motor, chevy fans are first to say it's not fair?? maybe if they had the same liters and cubes and then ford stuck a blower on it, then i would see it's unfair.

Well if you look at the Chevy and Ford line up Chevy beats the 5.4 with a 5.3 and beats the 4.6 with a 4.8 in thier pick-up line as far as horse power goes. Also I'd add that the F-bods, Vette,GTO and the whole Chevy V8 line up returns better fuel mileage the any compareable Ford.

As i recall a couple years ago Joe Gibbs was offering a blown Silverado that matched the lightings output using a 4.8 Chevy V8. Also the rumored Vette SS according to Autoweek is going to use a 6.2 liter blown V8 instead on the 7.0 and should produce 650hp.

I almost forgot, the answer to the threads question is:

0-60 .........Cobra
1/4 mile.....Cobra
Top end.... Who cares, that's pretty much a meaningless stat anyway.

when it comes to racing a v8... since when does "fuel mileage" matter. i mean, unless your tank is the size of a bucket, and you only get 3mpg... it really doesnt play a factor.

the last time i heard someone say "my car gets better gas mileage" was when i blew the doors off my friends rice-a-ronie "sport" bucket.

just wait till ford brings back the BOSS. suposedly its going to be 5.0L and will put out about 400hp for the new line of GT's. oh and its also going to be cutting out 4 of the 8 cylinders to save on gas, if thats still a factor for ya

You kinda missed about 90% of mypost there but ok. Do you really want to play the just wait game? We waited 8 years forthe mustangtokinda be competitivewith LS1 at the race track and even still isn't quite there.

oh ill admit the start of the 4.6 basically sucked ballz. and ill also admit i wish ford would just cram a pushrod high cube engine into the mustang. BUT im loyal to my stang.... both gm and ford have their flaws... like how camaros dont have true dual exhaust.

i have no problem with american V8's i love mostly all of them. but just because stock vs stock the base line z28 beats the GT doesnt mean crap. who doesnt plan on upgrading their car. i have a few ideas of what i want to do car wise in the next few years, and all of them have something to do with a mustang engine[8D]
