how come when ford has it at 4.6 281 cubes and chevy has a 5.7 or 6.0 liter engine, we race, the chevy fans are like, we kicked your *** and it's fair. though when ford sticks a blower on a small cubed motor, chevy fans are first to say it's not fair?? maybe if they had the same liters and cubes and then ford stuck a blower on it, then i would see it's unfair.
True but the Ford motor also has 2 or 4 cams. BTW it's not the cubes as much as is it is the heads that make the LS1 what it is and heads are also what holds the 2V 4.6 back. This is why the 3 and 4V cars actually make power with mods.
If this is true than hows come when you upgrade to better heads the gains arent that significant? Trust me, if the heads did wonders with a simple upgrade, than I would spend the $1200-1500 on them.
Because the "aftermarket" heads are just P/P stock units and still don't flow worth a damn when compared to even stock heads from other cars like the LSx motors.
Damn, you beat me to it.

You two guys beat me to it[&:]. It's the runner path and design that hinders the 2V head, this is why porting does relativly little for them. They would need to be completly new casting with totally new runner designs to flow somwhat decent.
