thats kinda what i was thinking. i dont want to put too big of a turbo on it, that way i still get nice power down low. how much does a 20g or a gt35r cost? and do you have to upgrade the internals as well?

Just buy an Evo. They're alot better than an STI. But just so you know the STI's don't do to well from a roll, one of my friends got his a** handed to him when he raced an '07 GT from a roll a couple of days ago. Gotta love the rivalry between brothers, my brother always has something faster than me, but not this time, at least NOT YET.

 

Yeah, evos are much better, as long as you love ****ty customer support on a car that has great tendencies of blowing itself up.[&:]

I was actually talking about compared to the STi. I don't even bother comparing stis/evos to mustangs. Apples and Oranges, IMO.

 

Yeah, I guess. But I'd still take an Evo over an STI.

 

The 35R setup from Ultimate Racing is like $4500, parts only. The upside is that there is a huge online Subaru community and there are always WRX guys looking to upgrade to STi parts, so you can recuperate some of the cost of your 20G conversion by selling the old parts (injectors, intercooler, turbo, etc etc). You wouldn't necessarily need to forge the internals, but at about 400whp you're running on borrowed time with your shortblock. There are some people running 450+whp daily, but it really is just a matter of time with the stock engine.

 

um, i would never burn a mustang for anything. theyre beautiful. plus, when im 40 and drive into the office, id feel alot less silly with a loud mustang than a blue 4 door compact car with a 2 ft tall wing and underglow . the youth tends to favor the tuners, it dies after that in the most of em.

 

well its either between the sti or a mustang gt. problem is i cant really decide on which one and i dont really want to copy him. also i do not like the evos so i think its between the sti and the mustang gt. unless you guys can think of anything else.

2 nights ago i went against an STI from a 40 mph roll i got him through 2,3 and most of 4th gear then he started creepin up and when i was at the end of 4th gear (round 120MPH) he was a half car head then he slowed down so of course i did too...i was proud of myself for have him beatin him like that in almost 3 gears
