Default New Times with Mongoose on!

Well I made it to the track for the first time with the mongoose kit. it was running rich so i leaned it out and found a bit more power but its still rich in 3rd and 4th..... def. needs to see a dyno but that can wait til my intercooler goes on. anyways onto track times

12.830@107.61 with a 1.92 60' 1/8th mile speed and et were broken because nothing ever works at us41.....

I was actually a little dissapointed and expected a little better time with more trap speed. its in the 12's but its still not fast enough lol. oh well after the intercooler and pulley i will hopefully be more satisfied. track wasnt prepped very well at all, and my stock clutch isnt so happy, but ive got a spec stage 2 sitting here.

ya i posted it in another thread of doodads.... I took out a black trans am pretty easily and he was quite dissapointed i think, then right after that my buddies turbo civic handed him his *** too lol.... ummm then i killed my buddy in the turbo civic, a few stock or close to stock gt's. and like I said I also spent half the time adjusting my tune/staring at my a/f ratio while driving so I was running mid 13's plus for half time until I started to just drive once things were set. I wanted to race this white 01 cobra again but never got lined up with him, he beat me when I first ran a 13.4 pissing around. but I wanted another run. i was around 13.0-13.1 conistently but the track kept getting better and better as the day went on so i got down to 12.8... then I had to leave shortly after that. it was a fun day! and im hopefully headed back up next weekend to us41 again.

congrats on your times. Considering you have no intercooler and are looking to swap a pulley once you do, I don't see why you won't see low 12's in the future.

How much boost are you running now? With a pulley swap+intercooler+real tune you'll be running more satisfying runs

For an untuned setup, that's actually QUITE good as far as times and trap.

You are bolt on right? You are around 300-310rwhp, and trapping 109 and heavier, this vortech GT is trapping 107??

So just by trap times, bigedog, you need a tune. That things not running right.

im headed to get a tune, but like I said, not wasting money on one and then putting on an intercooler and pulley and going again. and ya like I said 3rd gear is where it starts to loose it some because it is still real rich and I can't pull that extra mph where i should be w/out those last 2 gears pulling good.

and im running ~8lbs quickshot.

I drove my GT to MPH to have them install the Mongoose kit (as well as some other goodies) and then they tuned it. It was the same price as if they had shipped me the kit with their canned tune. Well worth the trip down.
