Why do trucks even bother?
Because there are some trucks that could take a Mustang.

Dodge makes a truck with a V10 Viper engine in it that would eat a GT for lunch...Lightnings and the supercharged F150s could take our stock GTs...
With equal drivers, a stock GT would edge out a stock F-150 Lightning, but it would be close.

Sounds like you were racing & he wasnt. he just baited you. If a COP witnessed that he could nab the truck even tho he didnt race because he baited you.
Street racing is not good.

I've heard different stories about the srt10 vs our cars, some say we can take them, some say they can take us. A buddy of mine has a 2006 silverado with a few mods,(cai, custome tune, exhaust, gears) was always talking crap so I had to teach him a lesson with both my Stang' and my truck (which he thinks is stock). Spanked him hard with only 2nd gear in the stang.

Depending on which review you read...it's a driver's race between a Dodge Ram SRT10 and a 05+ Mustang GT. The 05+ Mustang GT should pretty much always beat the F150 Lightning.

Be careful of the powerstrokes and cummins truck also. The powerstroke that we have is a pretty peppy little truck.

ya look for diesel trucks that put out massive amounts of black smoke.... usually means they have a chip... my dad has a 2004 chevy duramax 3/4 with an 8 inch lift and a banks performance chip and it hauls ***... added like 128hp and a ton of torque and it shifts harder

The ram srt-10 doesn't run at all. It weights like 5,000 pounds. Dont be afraid of the all motor ones, be afraid of the boosted ones from the factory or the turbo diesel. There is a super duty here the one with 4 wheels on the rear axle that does 11.60 constant with like 1.5 in the 60ft.

Just got a 5.7 Hemi for a DD, it won't take my Stang, but an older one.....maybe. LOL, darn things weigh over 6klbs but do have 345 crank and that Hemi will howl. It will be interesting to see how it runs when the CAI gets here.
