Not the 04 GTO, it has an LS1. 05 and up have the 6.0 LS2.

Tell him to leave 24psi in the rears and 32psi in the fronts. Squak them to clean them, but dont do a huge burnout.Launch at 1200-1400rpmsand ease into the gas. If wheel hop comes, let off a little bit then mash it. Leave it in D, 3 isn't neccesary. Remind him to turn T/C OFF. Let the engine cool off between runs...heatsoak sucks.

i have found that when using regular tires, it is best to leave them fully inflated.....just my .02...........and also tell him to be happy with a 14 flat....no offence to any of the GM fan boys, but every Ls1 GTO i have seen in stock form is a turd
