If not for the really bald and crappy street tires I would have broken into the 1.xx 60's and gunned for a 13.5. Next time I go I wanna have a full tune up, LCA's some sticky tires and a short throw and be heading for 12's.

There was a pretty sweet modded, blue Mach 1 that I ran against. He hit a 12.3, sounded like he had a lot in it. Thought I saw a bottle as well.

with tires and a tune up I should be around a 13.3 or a little better. I need to be able to actualy launch instead of roll out of the tree. by the looks of it I was gaining .2 for every .1 I took off my 60. So I could do great with a 1.7 60 foot. All I wanna do is barrow a set of DR's just so I can see what I can do. I have other more perminent plans for my ttire/wheel combo in the future but I don't wanna invest in slicks and drag wheels untill I get some more runs under my belt. Man the 4.11's pull like you would not belive.

I would say if I had some drag radials I could give you a REAL close race. I would probably have screwed up and either red lighted or spun tho. with the 4 that I made last night I ahve now made a total of 5 track passes. I still need a lot of practice to get beter. The tires are just so inconsistent. they are cooper cobra GTH's that are about 5k miles from being worn to the point of ilegal. I can't wait for tires and a tune up man. 13.0 here I come. When I fianly hit 12's I'm going to wet myself. I plan on doing that with the only engine mods being a CAI and Cat back

 

how do u plan on hitting 12's w/ just cai and catback...slicks?...hmmm I wonder what track numbers I'd b c'ing w/ slicks

 

I saw a near stock 01 GT run a 13.0 at my track, only trapped at 101 - only had exhaust and gears, ran slicks though and had a drag suspension.

 

so what would I b at ...mid to low 12's?...damn I bet that would b fun not having to worry about spinning ..just rev it up dump and have fun!

 

well I dunno dude, so many things go into getting a good et. You could have 400 hp and run a 13.5, or you could run a 13.5 with 200 hp - alot of it has to do with the suspension and this guys car was built around the strip and suspension first.
