Meh, one day when I have time I will do all the little "tricks" to help ET... but still. Must have been slicks at LEAST or he was on the bottle.... It just doesn;t add up. Thats like saying a bone stock LT1 running a 13.3.. it just doesn;t happen. 13.8 sure, 13.7 maybe, 13.6 iffy, 13.5 almost no way, anything lower.... only when hell flys and pigs freeze over..

Well a lot of people say that a bolt on GT wont hit low 13's but I proved that wrong. I ran 13.37 on lowering springs and drag radials with 4.10's. I dont even feel that I ran to the full potential either. This Friday im gonna fill the front tires to 40 psi and let the rears down to 15 psi, ice the intake and let the car TOTALLY cool off and see if I can hit HIGH 12's. What do you guys think? Im gonna get every run on video just in case it happens. I think I can do it. This past Friday I was kinda nervous about launching so I KNOW for a fact I can do better.

EDIT: Other than what I mentioned above, what else can I do to help my ET?

Sticky tires and control arms considered bolt ons?
Sounds kinda cheap...
Because I really don't think you'd need much to break low 13's in a newer GT
take out some dead weight like spare tire n junk
bolt on some ET Streets
pop in some 4.10's
and be off with it!

well the dude did not have slicks, they could have been drag radials but they "appeared" stock to me. Crazier things have happened, in that same lane 2 months ago my buddy in his Lighting ran the eighth in 8.7 seconds but trapped at 187 mph but - the track was having problems for 30 minutes prior and everyone was getting screwed up times

How does that sound cheap??? It has nothing to do with the internals of the engine nor the tranny. I thought we come to the conclusion a while back that gears were a bolt on... or did we not? [&:]

I take out everything in the trunk and from the backseat. Im going for a 13 flat this Friday.

God damn, everyone who's tested the 05 GT says the suspension is something else.
Hotrod magazine said they completely changed the suspension b/c it was ****ty.....

But I've also read from ppl on here about how great it is.

Think about it though... who ices a stock car? If they actually brought ice, there definatly something extra in the car.
In MM&FF when they were testin the mach1 against the GTO they iced the intakes. Didnt do much for the mach1 though. obvioulsy

Maybe MD, my buddy in his Z28 ran a 13.6 ( stock) at 813 MPH. That was an amazing night!. lol. He kept the slip and put it up on his fridge.
813 Wow. haha

As for the 05' If that thing was stock that must be one factory freak with a hell of a driver behind the wheel.
