You wanna do it right? Ok...here goes,

1) Have your friends ride in the trunk so you don't have to pay the fee for them. Tell the guy at the gate you're going in to 'look for a friend' (bring white shoe polish to write your # in).
2) If you have street tires, wet them in the pit. Don't spin them or they'll dry off.
3) Pull up to the tree, and then rev and hold at 5000rpms to get a good launch (with street tires only).
4) Go before the tree even starts counting, don't look back!
5) Just jam it into gear to shift, don't even bother with the clutch.
6) Don't listen to anything I say, it could be dangerous []

C'mon, the guys looking for advice.

Teamtech:

Waiting in the staging lanes, you'll want to keep the car as cool as possible. If you can it'll be a good idea to keep her shut off as long as possible. If runs are going by quick there's not much you can do about it...

Ideally, you want to drive around the water box and back into it so only your rear tires go through it, your front tires will leave water infront of your rears after you burn out and kinda render your burn-out pointless and kill your traction.

When you stage, your going to trip the very top light, then you want to creep forward and trip the 2nd light. Once you do so, the 3 other amber lights are going to come on, you want to take off when you see the 3rd light flash if you want a good RT and don't want to look like a retard. But truth is, nobody at the track is going to car about your RT or your noobieness, typically everyone is pretty nice and laid back and having a good time..

Be sure not to just dump your clutch, ride it out and feather the gas if you need to....

lower your rear tire pressure to about 22# - its a good starting point for most street tires, and pump your front tires to their max rated pressure for less rolling resistance

Pop your hood while in the staging lanes so you can cool down faster...

Fill the front tires up for less rolling resistance...

Let the rear tires down to like 20 psi for a better foot print...

When you do the burn out start it in second gear so your tires get hotter quicker.

If you have a .50 light, take off on the third orange.

Powershift like a ****.

Thats all I can think of.
