Maybe I'm wrong, but unless the WRX had a completely aftermarket setup, they don't use blow off valves.

guess he had a after,arket set up then...i herd it...it was very loud and was a sti, no question about it

Stock STis have a recirculating valve. If you swap them out for an atmospheric blow off valve, the car runs worse.

thats what i hav heard, But can you get it where the BOV is Before the Mass Air, and the Mass air will make up for the Missing air. my friend had an RFL(really freakin Loud) but it sucks, it would bog alotta cause it let SOOO much air out.

Yep, that's exactly what my setup is It's called a "blow through MAF" setup. I'm running an HKS SSQV bov on my STi, it sounds great.

Ha ha yeah, I had a TurboXS blow off valve on my old WRX that was 100% atmospheric and my car actually stalled out because the engine got flooded with gas hah...
