ORIGINAL: 3000ways

ORIGINAL: PERTANO

So I'm coming back from Casino Morongo on friday night and I stop at the chevron for a Pepsi and gas. I fill up and start my turn out when a bright blue Evo passes in front of me. Had his typical oversize exhaust and guage pod on the pillar. So expecting some trouble I switch the bottle on and follow him on the freeway. He speeds up and takes off like a bat out of hell. I didn't follow suit and just clip along doing 75 or so. I end up catching him a few miles down the road and he pulls along side. I wait, no honks no anything and he makes a run for it. I wait a second or two and down shift the 3rd and immediatly put bus lenghts on him. Probably 3-4 by the time I got out of 4th, and back out. He keeps coming during this time a GT/CS mustang pulls along side and give me a thumbs up and the Evo pulls along side again. This time I get him down to 60mph and drop to third. GT/CS keeps going along at 75 and it's me and the Evo again. He jumps again and this time I pace him through most of third at just before WOT so not to trigger the nitrous and then shift to 4th and hit WOT. Put immediate bus lenghts again and shut down after the point was proven.

Anyway I know it wasn't fair picking on the Evo this way, but I honestly thougth with the exhaust and guages he'd had some other mods done and it might have been a good race. Oh well por kid just stayed back a long way back after the 2nd run and never tried again. Still haven't found an Evo out here I can call fast. Even from a dig they're not that impressive.
So let me get this straight just because you've been lucky and haven't ran into an EVO that hasn't been able to hang with you means they're not impressive? And actually what is so impressive about your car anyways, you have full bolt ons and put down a measily 306whp off the bottle. I have 3 power mods and make more power than you when your off the bottle. And just because an EVO has a pillar guage doesn't meanit is heavily modified and it is stupid to assume so. My point is good kill, but I assure you there are plenty of EVOs thatarea lot quicker than you and a lot of Mustangs too, by the way since you claimEVOs aren't so impressive from a dig, just wondering what you run at the drag strip, I see you visit Irwindale, any time slips???
Don't recall him saying heavily modded. Saw guages on a pillar and expected some mods thus some trouble. From you name I'll assume you drive a Mitsu 3000GT or something so feel obligated to defend an EVO. Again why spend 35000 on and EVO and then modify for another 5000 to get to high 300 RWP when for 27K and 8K more easily get over 400 rwhp and still improve suspension/handling. I've said it once I'll say it again

4 is for the poor(non-turbo)
6 are for chicks
8 is American Muscle crushing ricers and Fast and Furious wannabes
