How do our 4.6 GT's do against a WS6?? I'm just curious never heard of anyone racing one and just wanted to know how that would turn out and what a GT might need in upgrades to keep up with one. Thanks

 

Not pretty for the gt. Nitrous or blower.

 

Well just say if the ws6 has just exhaust and 1 or 2 bolt ons i can barely beat them by 1 maybe 2 car lenths and if they have headers then its a drivers race.I have ported heads,cams and full bolt ons and 4.10s

 

Let me get ahead of the GM guys and say, no way the Mustang can ever beat the WS6.

 

well quick question....what year gt? It's doable with bolt ons etc. on the s197's....

 

yea the s197 respond to mods alot better.A full bolt on s197 can almost have the same power as mine i think or unless that what i have read any ways (310rwhp)

 

yep. Bolt on s197 gt's can run down ls1 f-bodies.

I would probably lose with the mods I have now, but I want to run one after I get my gears and pulleys. I just need tofind someone to run around here. I think it will be close, but I'll end up losing in the end. That is if he is stock, if he has bolt-ons then its going to take a SC to win.

 

yea i just ran against onethis past week(01 ss)with exhaust and cai and i was barely pulling on him in each gear.Maybe a half a car each gear if that
