I was led to believe that the Firehawk was a appearance package...........Yes I know it was rated at 335bhp....but the rims were a gold colored alloy if I remember correctly, and had a couple other appearance upgrades...

I think the Firehawk appearance mods are somewhat like the WS6 appearance mods.

The firehawk model firebird is a different hood from the WS6 ram-air hood...and in some cases I have also seen different rear spoilers compared to a WS6. There is different badging and lettering throughout the car and I know there are different rims compared to a WS6. LSx guys feel free to chime in I may be wrong on this one, but I'm pretty sure that I hit a few points right...

The Firehawk was just a package like the SS or WS6 they are not faster stock...no matter what the ratings were (At least this is true for the LS1 cars). They are kinda rare though.

The firehawk is an SLP performance package. It comes with an SLP dual-dual cat back, and a CAI. Thats good for about 10-15 more hp. It also has a different hood and firehawk badges. I'm not sure about the rear spoiler being different

Yea that's what they claim to justify the price, trust me it does not add much if any power, the cat back is not the major restriction in the fbody exhaust. I had the dual/dual cat back on my SS and it made difference in power between a stock 01 Z. I have had all these cars on the dyno at work, in both stock and modded forms, trust me, there is no differance, it's all marketing BS and hype.

When I put a cutout on my car, bypassing the stock muffler, it did make a small difference. I trapped higher in warmer air.
