Na dude....I only have a '03 Cobra and a '06 C6. I just got a great deal on the Cobra a few weeks ago. My wife will be out of country until Sept. I'm not sure how long I'll have it after she gets home.lol I picked it up for $18,900 with 30k on the clock so in a way its sort of an investment. I'm sure after the pully enhaust and tune I will be able to get around $25k for it. A blower for a C6 costs $6k so thats prolly what I'll do with my profit.

I had a GT and a '04 Vette but they are both sold.

I dont actually think I've posted any pictures of the new cobra....when I get home from work I'll make that happen.

Thats one hell of a deal!!!! I'm jealous[:@]

EDIT- I hate to break it to ya, but I have never seen or heard of a blower setup being installed on a C6 for anywhere close to $6K, If you can get it done for that than please let me know when you get yours finished.
Most blower setups on a C6 require a hood swap (which runs about $2K painted).....I think a centrifical procharger might fit without a hood swap, but the procharger alone is close to $8K (without tune...) and supporting mods..

My win over the C6 doesn't sound so good. WTF. Bad driver mod will lose everytime!
haha...it was silver GT. You would kill me even if john force was driving my car.lol
No sh*t!!! If your gonna get a Saleen, it's best to get the base S281 and go his route on saving the extra $10K that he would have paid for the SC and get his own power adder setup.....But 06saleen, I buy the bad driver mod on your win.

J/K.....lol

LOL. I wasn't doubting my driving skillz! But you have to admit a car thats a sec to sec 1/2 slower to beat that C6, the driver must be really bad.

You may want to rethink the S/C. I hear it takes a ton of money, the down fall of big displacement motors like the C6 is they dont respond as well to power adders. You may want to get a TT set up or maybe the gas over the S/C. IMO of course!

[sm=jawdrop.gif] C6, if you don't want to modify your hood you can go with a vortec, procharger, sts twin turbo or nitrous. You engine will respond well to either one. I dont know who told you that the C6 engines don't respond well to mods but they are lying. A stage 1 set up for the LS2 will result in a 50% horsepower gain. Lets do the math 400hp + 50% = 600hp on 6-7psi. Thats what I call responding to mods! The STS turbo makes even more power. Most Vette guys chose procharger over Vortec because the vortec taps the engines oil supply and the procharger has a independent oil housing and filter.

I will agree with the first part, and majorly disagree with the second, the third part is pretty neutral.

They respond great to anything....it's just a matter of how much they can respond to.

Nitrous + LSx = teh winnAr!

I have to admit, my statement was off of hear say. Maybe I misunderstood. I guess the cost of the poweradders for the LS2 motors are very pricey and that may have made me think it did not respond well. Of course I must of gotten bad info on the not responding well to S/C. Sorry guys I stand corrected. The only modded vette's I have seen around here are all Turbo setup's. I would love to see a procharger LS2.

A procharged C6 will lay close to 540-550 to the wheels....West Coast Corvettes offers the setup installed for $11K.....Anything over 540rwhp tends to stress the A6 to the point of breakingaccording to a A6 folks on the Vette Forum.....

All I know is that I've ridden in my brother's 07 C6 a few times now.....and have even raced him a couple times.

That said, I say it would take a special kind of retarded monkey to lose to a stock or near stock S197 GT in a C6.
