man r u crazy? i am not scared to line up against anything i dont care if i win or lose but im just saying they are not something to think will be an easy win. i dont know what they run but i know the 91 talon twi i drove was stock except a few bolt ons and it was really quick im sure it was easily 14s? so really, they arent much off from our cars.

 

probably a non turbo eclipse. those are slow. if it sounded ricer, definetly non turbo, the turbo's have a much deeper exhaust note

There was no snow, racing in snow would be...suicidal if not stupid? The roads were a little damp, so yeah, it was stupid.

Far as being affraid to line up against people, I *want* to line up against a co-workers 300ZX (1992 year I belive) twin-turbo. He says it runs low 13's w/o a boost controller and not running right. I don't care how he runs, should just be fun to race it.

 

I have no idea how you got traction, i gotta earn traction even in dry condtions. Oh and my co worker also had a 91 300zx with a few goodies and he said my car would tail light him bad.

 

Traction...that's why I started in 2nd, so that the wheels only spun/hopped a little. If I can tail light my co-workers 300 that'd be sweet, when we race I'll post results (won't be till summer).

My GT with a K&N and welded in flows (read: basically stock) competely raped my bros 90 AWD Talon. It wasnt even a race for petes sake. He barely got off the line better than me and I passed em before I was outta first!

I have seen a video on this forum of a Stock 03 SRT-4 running door to door with a modded turbo talon. The guy had full boltons and a NEW TURBO with a boost controler and all of that bs and was running in the extremely high 13s.

They are a joke. And it isnt like the WRX where you can redline the sucker and drop the clutch. Do that in a talon/eclipse/laser a few times and your gonna break something.

 

Trust me, you can't do that in a WRX/STi/EVO very long either. My buddies EVO just had a transmission replaced....after 4k miles.

Modded DSM's can be REALLY fast.
