97 Eclipse ~ RSX type S
My buddy just dropped a brand new Acura RSX type S motor into his '97mittsu Eclipse (same model as Fast and furious 1). He said he will be able to beat me pretty easy after its done. Any truth to this? What kinda power will the put down and will he be faster than a real RSX type S?
New RSX type S motor has 201 HP motor and about 143 TRQ. even worse they dont hit their max numbers till over 7K RPMS. the '97 eclispes weightd around 2800lbs. You shouldnt have a problem. its more of a sluaghter than a race...

BLASPHEMY!
Never heard of that swap before, but I would've thought the rsx's were lighter. Heard they respond really well to turbos, but I don't know how long they tend to last.

That has to be the gayest swap I've ever heard of. The RSX-S weighs around 3000lbs and can run 14.8-14.9 stock, so in a car that is 200lbs lighter, he might run 14.6 or so. Why did he do this swap, there would be so much damn work involved. IDIOT!!!!
eh i dono maybe he got the front clip real cheapo like
. the rsx-s motor is the k20a....uhhh...2? 210hp. respond pretty well to mods even though the mods are uber expensive. With tune, full exhaust (catless), a decent intake, etc, his car could be a high 13 sec car. The k20's are great for forced induction if done right too. There are a few in the 500's on an entirely stock block
