my brother just bought a 86 5.0. . since that year they came stock with 200hp i thought i would have a chance. nooo way first gear he had me about a half car secound he had me about one and a half cars third gear he was gone. lol

what year sixxer you got? is ita 5 speed?.......if its nota 99+ I can see why he dusted you.....if you at least havea 99+ sixxer w/ 5 speed you would have a chance.

agreed. However, STOCK 5.0 Fox bodies are rare so I doubt your brothers car is stock. Probably has gears, different cam and a few other things that would easily bump it into 4.6L territory.

Yea, 86 5.0s were fairly slow by modern standards, and add in the time wear that only makes it slower, there has to be a few things done to the car unless it was just extremely well maintained.

You gotta think though, the pre 87 5.0 may have had somewhat comparable hp numbers, but it's still got you in torque.

The 86 was 215hp. I bought an 87 and they had bumped it ten to 225. Great car....C&D rated it 0-60 in 6.3. Outran a 928S 0-80 init by a half carand a 944turbo 65-140 by about a car and a half. LOL.....speedo ended at 85 where it was shifting out of third......loved that car [8D]
