i was looking at the new edge mustangs an was just wondering how much faster they are stock for stockthan a sn95 5.0

 

In my exsperence with them the new edges are much faster. But there are plently of mods that can have the 5.0s beating them.

 

low 14's in the quarter for the new edge compared to high 14's for the 5.0 if its a stick. auto 5.0's are low 15.s. i ran a 15.1 stock in my 95 5.0 when it was stock and auto.

The same reason that they buy 96-98 4.6's.

Cheap, fun to drive.

But the 94-95's are cheap, easy to modify with the 5.0, and I'm starting to like the way they look more and more. Not as much as my New Edge, but still. They're definately growing on me.

Too bad I VERY rarely see a 94-98 GT.....

I'd say that the SN95's are not that much faster. If you put exhaust, intake, and tune on a fox, it will be practially equal with the sn95's. SN95's were low-to-mid 14 sec. cars. Fox's were high 14's to low 15's. Of course this all depended on the driver.
