You are completely stock (yeh they arent that fast either) but hes got at least 15-20 hp on you. Also the biggest thing is his throttle lag is greatly reduced due to the tune, a conservative tune, but a tune none the less.

 

15-20hp moreis not allot on the street to make him easily take someone out with basicly the same car, this is almost like the SS vs Z28 argumentsthe one that gets the jump first isgoing to win

 

I did mention that I do have an exhaust system right? Besides, if I am a better driver, which I was and am, then I would beat him. Besides, I have tires that are one step below DR's, and he had plain street tires. I had traction, he did not. Either way, he would not have a chance unless he was a good driver. Even then, his car would still be equal with me despite the 20+ HP difference.

 

Just some side info... Mustangs are the greatest car ever.........aside from Thunderbirds. And thats only cuz the T-bird has squishy seats.

 

I would not say they are the greatest ever, but I appreciate your affection toward mustangs. They are great cars, so are thunderbirds, but there is always something better. The new S197 have very hard yet soft seats. For some that is a plus, others, that is a minus....

 

They aren't the "greatest" car ever, but they certainly do have their own character that a lot of other cars seem to lack.
