Raced a Cop?

...They can track Engine RPMs now?[&:] If your talking about the Radar or Laser, they show a digital readout of Speed, and thats it.
And it's called Unneccesary Display of Horsepower, Revving, peeling out, and deep acceleration all fall under that category.

lol dont quote me on this but i think he meant the cop cars computer could be checked to see if there was revving in the police car...

im sure he wasnt revving. they can track that in his computer, revving is also considered unneccesary acceleration and so on. [sm=bs.gif]

Even IF, this were even remotely the case, who do you think would have the job of analyzing the RPM readouts of each and every patrol car?
What you MAY be thinking of, is that some (I don't know how many or what makes) vehicle's computers record the last few moments prior to a crash. This isn't just for patrol cars either, but like I said, I don't know the specifics.
It is completely implausible that a patrol car record RPMs.
And to the OP, he probably wasn't baiting you, he was probably either joking with you or wanting you to rev so he could hear your exhaust.
A guy I know is a patrolman in the town where I work and we found ourselves next to each other at a light when he was on duty in his Crown Vic. He ridiculed my exhaust leak (now fixed) and gunned it when it went green.[sm=smiley36.gif]I didn't follow suit because A. It was lunch hour, lotsa cars, B. It would be like punching a baby in the face, and C. He might've pulled me over just to be a *****.[&:]
And yes... cops are cool people, well most i have met. They all seem to be very understanding and willing to hear you out as far as i have seen. I have been pulled over naked in a 1988 f-250 and he let me go and i was **** drunk but i had my sober gf with me but thought should tell you alot about the cops here rofl... If a cop wanted to race me here yes iw ould gun it a bit but not to like 100 mph lol

Ihave heard a few stories about cops doing that.
One was an undercover with grocery bags on the backseats of his mercedez, yes, a benz. he was pushing on a friend of mine who has a moddedevo viii. my friend punched it and he pulled next to him showing his badge telling him to pull over. he claimed he had seen my friends car hauling *** on the highway and that he wanted to pull him over ever since. my friend replied with the usual "how do i know you're a cop?" "i wasnt racing till you annoyed my ***" and then applied the "ima tell teh department you are illegally street racing with YOUR car" technique...pointing out the cameras at the interception. cop told him to fck off and left. pretty hilarious.
-Karma.
