Short version is....GTO pulls up next to me on the highway..going about 65mph and we go

I drop to third and wind her out to 6k and then pull 4th

I look down and see slightly over 100 and let off

Look in my rear view and the GTO is at least 4 cars behind

We go one more time...this time I Leave in4th and pull 3 cars on him by the time I grab 5th and then let off...

He pulls up behind me...sees the the Vortech Supercharger license plate bracketandgives me a wave...

I will admit the GTO went better than I thought....not sure if it was stock or not.

 

Nice kill. You have a huge weight advantage on a GTO, not to mention more power. I wish I could convince the wife that we need a foxbody. I know a guy with a vert with 400 at the wheels naturally aspirated. What does your car run in the 1/4?

Thanks guys...that was the first run for the 5.0 since it was put together...I have not played like that for over 10 years since I sold my old Notch...

No 1/4 mile runs yet....only like 900 miles on the new build...think I will wait until next season once I know everything is OK...

I know a dude with almost the same exact set up and he runs 11.8s at 121 on drag radials..so that is kind of my goal to stay with him...but I have not raced at the track in over 10 years either so I might need some practice..

Mine is light...fiberglass hood, alum heads, AC delete and fog lamp delete
