Acai/tune is an incredibly beneficial modification. Non-owners seem to overlook it. This is not to say that it would nec be enough to win this race, but it is definitely enough to hold your own against an average driver in the vette, assuming stock.

Mr Rogers...FIGHT ON!

It's possible. The LS2 C6 has a top speed in the upper 180's....

The fact remains my car putting down 325 RWHP (before the turbo) could not in any way, shape, or form beat a C6 Vette. My prediction is that the old man behind the wheel spilt his Starbucks in his lap, lost control, and flew over the median into on coming traffic.

Also it was a 6 speed vette that i raced and i know how to drive and so does my dad who was driving the vette.

regardless, you need to be putting down at least 350RWHP to hang with a vette on a highway. It would have been more believable if you said youraced from a dig and outright killed him. But, then again, you did not......I raced a C6 Vette, non z06, not exactly sure of my RWHP, but if you add the following mods, you can get a guesstimate. torque converter, 73mm throttle body, 3.73 gears, intake, ud pulley kit, roush exhaust system, hypertech tune, and about 200lbs weight reduction. Even with all of those mods,, the c6 from a dig almost immediately put a full length on me. I started to pull on him,but once we got close to triple digits, it was over...... sorry my friend.....I find it hard to bellieve.

it was a c5 and not a z06. anyway. we both got onto the freeway at the same time and my buddy was begging me to mess around with it. so i pull up next to him. turn the o.d off then put it into 3rd. the down shifts made him look over. then i floor it then slow back down to get next to him about 3 times.when i got back next to him i hear him downshift and he punchs it.[sm=gears.gif] he had a half car on me before i got level with im. i kept on it till about 125ish and i didnt see him in my rear view.there were no exits for him to get off. i slowed down to 60 (the speed limit is 65) and wait for him to catch up. about 3 miles go by and my exit is coming up, so i look for him again in my rear view and still dont see him [sm=happy046.gif][sm=wootwoot.gif]
you should of went back to check on the guy , and if you ever want to keep up with the top end of a corvette, you need a low gear, good suspension and tires.,

My boss flipped his corvette into two pieces testing his top end,but he came back in one piece. The cause, ? going that fast with a tire not meant for those speeds[&o]
